Linda Studebaker earned her fine arts degree in
design from UCLA, and is the
creative force behind Tribeca. A talented and renowned black and white portrait
photographer, Linda learned to focus her attention (pun intended) on the visual.
She has the photographer's refined ability to uncover what is unique in the
everyday, taking visual risks, pressing beyond first choices and trusting her
instincts and intuition. It is this unique visual ability that Linda uses as she
travels broadly to bring together the continuously evolving Tribeca Home
collection of unique furniture & original artwork.
House-Home-Soul
While visiting New York in the early 80's, Linda and Doug were influenced by
the Tribeca (TRIangle BElow CAnal) district of lower Manhattan
. Adjacent to famed Greenwich Village , reasonably priced loft spaces brought
many artists and art organizations into this transforming old world
neighborhood.
According to Linda, "the texture and artistic feeling" of this neighborhood
was an important inspiration for Tribeca Home and Design.
